GREAT GOLFING in the Palos Verdes
Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Torrance Area
Whether you enjoy playing
golf to keep fit, challenge yourself, or relax with
friends, it’s surely one of the nicest ways you can
pass a morning out-of-doors. This scenic coastal region
has a wealth of lovely golf courses, many with ocean
views and upscale clubhouses. Most courses are architect
designed and cater to a range of levels and abilities.
The Palos
Verdes Peninsula is an extremely beautiful region
with acres of parkland and expansive hills and bluffs
overlooking the shining Pacific coast. Most courses
here have panoramic sea views and superb landscaping.
Over 55 bird species continue to migrate to the Peninsula
and peacocks can be seen and heard from some courses.
Torrance is also a fantastically
green city with over 350 acres of open space and parkland.
The city’s golf courses are known for their challenging
fairways.

Established
in 1924, this beautiful semi-private club has
a restored Spanish style deco clubhouse and
fantastic course designed by the renowned architect
George Thomas. Various enhancements have modernized
the course over the years, but changes have
been sensitively applied, and the course and
clubhouse still retain a traditional feel and
character. Bordered by eucalyptus groves and
affording views of the sea to the west and mountains
to the east, Palos Verdes is well worth a visit.
